Club Brugge’s Amputee Team Undergoes Physical Testing at Club Brugge Basecamp in Westkapelle

This week, Club Brugge’s amputee football team made great strides in their preparation for a major international tournament coming up in December. The team underwent a series of physical tests at the Club Brugge Basecamp in Westkapelle, showcasing their determination and commitment. Dirk Laleman, the physical coach of Club NXT, extended the invitation to our amputee team, providing them the opportunity to train like the professionals at the Club Brugge training facilities.

The players went through a range of physical assessments, focusing on key areas such as speed, strength, and reaction time. These tests are an essential part of their preparation, ensuring they are in top condition for the international competition in December.

The Club Brugge staff’s professionalism left a strong impression on the team. “It was inspiring to see the level of professionalism in the physical testing,” said Michel Welvaert, the captain of the Club Brugge Amp Team. “We were treated just like the pro players, and it felt great to have that level of support and guidance.”

This experience was a fantastic opportunity for the amputee team to train in a professional setting, motivating them to push even harder as they gear up for the tournament. Club Brugge’s dedication to inclusivity and excellence was clearly on display, showing that every team is a valued part of the Club Brugge family.
